- The Quote Centre is primarily used to compare the price of construction materials, products, and services, it also provides web-space for marketing purposes. We provide prices for several materials, products, and services at your request to enable you to decide which seller you would prefer to place an order with. We offer impartial and independent comparison quotes, and the results are ranked by price privately to you.
- GENERAL
- These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of our website and any other service provided by The Quote Centre. By using our services, you agree to these Terms and COnditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not use the service provided by The Quote Centre.
- DEFINITIONS
- 'You' and 'Your' means the person who proposes to use or is using the website and services of The Quote Centre. 'We' 'us' and 'our' means The Quote Centre and any other person or business to whom we may legally transer our rights under these Terms and Conditions. You are entitled to stop using our website and services if we tranfer our rights under these Terms and Conditions to a third party. 'Website' means a site on the internet located at www.thequotecentre.com . 'Seller' means a provider of any material, product or service that provides a quote for The Quote Centre to pass on to you. 'Quote' means a price provided by a meterial, product, or service supplier for comparison with other quotes based on th einformation you have provided. In providing you with quotes we are not able to guarantee the availability of the material, prodcut or service or the price quoted as this will be dealt with by the seller directly when you place an order.
- OUR SERVICE
- Our service enables you to compare quotes for material, prodcuts, or services for you to then make a purcahse based on those comparisons. We do not charge you for this service. We do not provide any advice in relation to any materials, products or services quoted. We do not make recommendations or endorse any material, product, or service that a seller has provideed a quote for
- YOUR OBLIGATIONS
- We recommend that you read these Terms and Conditions before making a purchase based upon a quote a seller has provided through us. The Quote Centre and its website must only be used for your personal use, or if a business user, for legitimate business quote comparison purposes only. When requesting quotes using our service, you must provide accurate and complete information so that we can provide appropriate quotes. If you provide incomplete or incorrect information, your material, product, or service quote request may not be fully met. The information, data and copyright material contained on our website or in information sent to you by The Quote Centre must not be reproduced or used without our consent. We provide a quote comparison service only. When you provide payment and place an order with a seller, you enter into a separate agreement with them and should therefore refer to their own Terms and Conditions to ensure they meet your requirements.
- OUR SELLERS
- We will offer impartial and independent comparison quotes which will only be ranked by price privately to you. We use a pre-qualification process when onboarding our sellers. We may not provide quotes from all sellers in the market as some may opt out of our comparison service and others may not meet the pre-qualification criteria we use. We will regularly check our sellers to ensure we are offering quotes from the best businesses in the industry. If a seller breaches its Service Level Agreement in place with us, we will use our right to no longer provide you with quotes from them.
- USE OF OUR WEBSITE
- By using our website, you agree that: You will not gather, extract, download or reproduce any material on or from our website. This is including but not limited to information relating to prices emailed to you whether that information has been gained using spiders, data mining, trawling or other software or system used to extract data. You will not do anything that affects the integrity or security of our website or may cause harm, damage, or unreasonable inconvenience to other users of the website. If you breach any of the clauses set out above, we may act as we deem appropriate including, denying you access to our website, bringing legal proceedings against you and disclosing information to the appropriate regulatory bodies.
- DELIVERY OF QUOTES
- You will receive the results of our quote comparisons via your portal or email (or telephone if specifically requested). For quotes to be gathered and passed to you, we rely on the availability of third-party sites and the general performance of the internet. There may be instances where quotes may not be available to us or you due to problems with third party websites or the internet. Wherever possible, we will try and notify you of this via another form of communication. Whilst we strive to provide a comprehensive, fast, and easy to use service, the requirements of your quotes may not be met if such requirements are unusual or non-standard. If this is the case, we will notify you as soon as possible. Where a seller may not have a specific material, product, or service available we will ask them to provide a close alternative to assist you further in case your requirements are not able to be met.
- VALIDITY OF QUOTES
- The Quote Centre does not have control over the price, length of offers or special conditions relating to quotes provided by our sellers. The seller’s availability of its materials, products, and services, along with the prices quoted, are updated, and amended on a regular basis. All quote comparisons sent to you are subject to change.
- PAYMENTS
- To purchase any of the materials, products or services quoted to you, you must make a payment. When a price is shown and you have accepted the quote, payment will be taken, and confirmation will be sent to the seller to secure your order. The Quote Centre uses a Payment Services Provider for collecting all payments from buyers, transferring such payments from buyers to sellers. All payment services in connection with the collection of funds on The Quote Centre’s website are performed by its Payment Services Provider. The Quote Centre acts as the buyers limited authorised payment collection agent solely for the purpose of accepting payments (via its Payment Services Provider) from the buyers and remitting those payments to the seller minus it’s agreed commission fee. The buyer’s payment obligation to the seller will be satisfied upon receipt of payment to The Quote Centre (via its Payment Services Provider). If The Quote Centre does not remit any such amounts to the seller, the seller will have recourse only against The Quote Centre and not the buyer directly. Buyers may not offer to pay sellers using any method other than through The Quote Centre. Sellers may also not ask buyers to make payment using any other method than through The Quote Centre. All quotes, invoices and payment receipts will be sent in electronic form, by email or through the site. To protect against fraud, unauthorised transactions (such as money laundering), claims, or other liabilities, payment information is collected by The Quote Centre’s Payment Services Provider. The Quote Centre is not exposed to the payment information provided, and this information is subject to the privacy policy applicable to the Payment Services Provider. By making a purchase through The Quote Centre, you represent and warrant that you: • are legally authorised to provide the payment information • have permission to make payments using the payment method • are not violating any applicable law. All trade accounts and credit facilities are subject to the Terms and Conditions and Terms of Trade of the seller. We do not accept liability for missed payments, refunds, or payment disputes when a credit facility is used. If you do not complete your order after accepting a quote from us, we may contact you to complete our customer satisfaction process.
- COMPLAINTS
- In the event of a complaint, we will in the first instance try to resolve the issue with you as soon as possible. If a formal complaint is raised, this should be made by you either by email or in writing and contain your name, address, contact number and details of the complaint. If a resolution is not agreed, you should contact the Financial Ombudsman Service and follow their guidelines. If your complaint is regarding a product, material, or service that you have purchased via The Quote Centre then you should complain directly to the relevant seller following their complaints procedure. If you are unhappy with the outcome of resolution with the seller, then you should raise a formal dispute through the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution procedure or the Financial Ombudsman Service. The Quote Centre cannot answer complaints on behalf of a seller or accept responsibility for complaints raised about them but will endeavour to monitor all seller complaints raised.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- All information, data and copyright material contained on our website including trade names, brands and logos belong to us or to people/businesses we have given ownership or permission to use. You must not use this information or material unless you have permission from us or the owner to do so. You may download or copy the content and other downloadable items displayed on our website for personal non-business use only (i.e. to assist with a material, product or service decision), providing that you are not otherwise breaching these Terms and Conditions.
- PRIVACY
- We will comply with all applicable data protection legislation in force in respect of the personal data we collect from you. We will process your personal data to provide you with quotes that you request from us either through our website or via telephone. We may also use your data for marketing and analytic purposes but will only keep your data for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which we need it. If you decide to make a purchase using a quote we have provided, we will pass your information on to the seller you have selected to allow them to confirm more precise delivery details. When the seller uses your personal data to complete a delivery with you, they will then be acting as a data controller meaning they will then oversee how they handle your data. During the delivery stage, The Quote Centre is not responsible for your data, and it will be subject to the seller’s own privacy policy. We will obtain personal data from the seller that they delivered a material, product, or service after receiving a quote from us. The information we collect will be relating to the confirmation of delivery. This information will only be used for sales tracking purposes as well as to improve our services and processes. We may also ask the seller to share with us information about any complaints they receive from you to ensure future customer satisfaction.
- TERMINATION
- We may terminate your right to use our website and/or service if you: Substantially breach any of these Terms and Conditions; Infringe or violate any rights of any other users of our website or service (or attempt to); Use our website or service to commit a criminal offence (or attempt to)
- JURISDICTION AND ENFORCEABILITY
- If any part of these Terms and Conditions are held by a competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will not be affected and will remain valid. In the event of a dispute in connection with or arising out of these Terms and Conditions, English law will apply.
